Sunken Trico

The Sunken Trico is tied with small ultra wire wrapped body, the purpose of this is to slightly sink the pattern in the subsurface, much like a spent trico would. Additionally it gives this fly a segmented look that is hard to achieve with a typical dry fly dubbing. When fish are seen sipping the surface it is often for smaller bugs that are generally in the subsurface, making this the perfect fly for those conditions.
