Commonly found from June to September, the Sailor Beetle can be a tasty treat for a trout, and they regularly take them. Fish along grass banks and under trees where fish are laying in cover and waiting for terrestrials to fall into the water. Don't be afraid to add a few twitches to the fly as these guys don't swim well, and fish are looking for the strugglers.
