"While Sallies do skate and flit, they sit low on the water and patterns tied with lots of hackle only seemed to work on the smaller fish in faster water. I wanted a pattern that sat low in the film, matched up to the original well and could be twitched and skated as needed without sinking, and I think I finally got what I was after here.
