Not even Lee Wulff could of guessed how popular the Royal Wulff would be or the many pattern innovations it would of created. This one in particular was a customer request due to the incredible effectiveness he had with it. Tied like a parachute pattern but with two posts that make it easier to spot and give is a winged look from below. Royal patterns have always been known to be one of the most effective attractor patterns out there. Fish on overcast days when there isn't much hatch action going on.
